The people helping me were well meaning but they didn’t have a simple logical method that a beginner handler could understand or the ability to teach others to do what they could accomplish with their own dogs ….until I met Bob Vest. The first time I met Bob, I was in awe of what he could accomplish with his dogs and how he and his dogs worked as partners rather than the handler and dog fighting each other for control of the situation. Immediately I recognized this was someone special who understood stockdogs, livestock behavior and the proper involvement of the human element in this picture.
